Lore & Background

He moved to FC Barcelona in 1973, winning the La Liga title in 1973–74 and the Copa del Rey once. After stints in the US and at Levante, he returned to Ajax in 1981, winning two further Eredivisie titles, then moved to Feyenoord in 1983, winning the double (Eredivisie and KNVB Cup) in his only season there. As a manager, he won the 1987 European Cup Winners' Cup with Ajax, and four La Liga titles and one European Cup with Barcelona.

In Their Own Story

Under the August floodlights at De Kuip, the humidity hangs heavy over the turf before the first whistle blows. In the dressing room, the silence speaks louder than any pre-match speech; players run their hands over the cold metal of the Johan Cruijff Schaal, feeling the weight of history pressing on their shoulders. It is a promise kept to the memory of the man who changed football forever. As the team walks out into the roar of traveling supporters echoing like a distant storm, they start the season not with a whisper, but with a declaration that the legacy continues.
